Poole
Lighthouse hosted our first poetry slam on Saturday 4th
October 2003 at 8pm in conjunction with Poole Word and
Book Festival. The evening was very informal and a great
deal of fun with readings and performances from writers
of all ages, the youngest reader was 14.
Our
2004 slam was an even bigger success!

winner in 2003 was.....John
Barclay from
Wareham, who is just incredible to watch.
He had full command of the audience and delighted us all with
some very entertaining works.
Go and see John perform if you ever have the chance. You will
not be disappointed - especially if your
name is Xena!
