THE CITY OF LOVE (FOR LONDON)
The city of love
dreams flying
into your sorrow
and my loneliness
arrows in the mist
behind the brightest sun
of a perfect day
something you'll never forget
forgetting me.

America’s Wasted Youth
An eternity forgotten,
For a day we never lived,
A mission for a warrior,
Fought by an Earth of kids,
Things that boil deep inside,
Ideas that yearn to talk,
Keep pushing on the side,
Of a boat that never rocks,
Voices singing out a note,
That are really cries for truth,
This is how we see the world,
America's wasted youth.

IVY
It took over everything
when my back was turned,
when I was in another life
but now I notice its intrusion
for the very first time.
Throttling trees,
spreading like cancer
through the undergrowth,
I must admit it does have beauty
with its variagated leaves
but that is only to decieve.
I begin to rip it up,
lash out at all that has passed
and clear a way
for what there is to be.

Secret
I think to ask who made the sea
Will of mind or just Gods plea
Or could it be perhaps we did
With feelings strong all women hid
When life becomes to hard to bare
Who is and was and will be there
We keep are heartache to our own
But the pain it aches in every bone
When we’re alone no one to see
Our flood of tears they start to flea
If someone can shed a flood of tears
Why not it build up over years
The secret maybe that we travel
To the sea and just unravel
We add our tragedies to the waves
Like hiding treasure inside caves
Each person comes and adds more rhyme
And builds up over years of time
Beneath the surface if you look
So many tales could write a book
so, the sea which waves and flows
Is secretly our sea of woes

The Escalator
The clinking of the steps that
The rise and fall
And disappear into the floor
Are soothing lullabies
To people who ride these mounts of steel
They hold on tight and hope they feel
The movement of the steps
That takes them high onto the street
As they go to work or play
But all who ride these mounts of steel
Must do it twice a day
And hope that when they return
No sudden silence
Just rising, clinking steps
That rise and fall
And disappear into the floor.

Let God take life
Young man where has your emotion gone
Is it that it’s not too strong
All of life has gods’ animate spark
None are left out in the dark
If you can love someone elsewhere
Joining hearts had time to share
That emotion is a part of your spirit
All life is the same, it has the same in it
God gave you your first loves glance
Without his spark you had no chance
All of life is mad the same
So killing takes away the spiritual gain
So think before you kill another
It could be someone killing your mother
Take not the life the lord has given
Let it in it’s own time rise to heaven

Graphic Display Team
The line branching out across the graph of
"Time & Profit"
Was beginning to sag, so the staff in the office
Formed an orderly queue inside the diagram
To prop up the line ( then somebody noticed
that the furthest along was finding it easiest,
so everyone started shuffling towards the end of ‘Time’,
and all took credit for the sudden rise
in the year ending profit ).

you promised letters
i am the woman whose twigs
you do not snap on approach
i am the woman whose current defies gravity
and washes out your thoughts of her
i am the woman lilith left lucifer for
so, where are my letters?

Weather Forecast
The friendly weatherman tells us a cold front
is coming our way advices us to dress warm,
two or three jumpers and solid boots, sit by
the fire and stay put do not go out unless you
have too. The sun out there looks warm dogs
sleep in the road getting warm no one has told
them about the cold front.
Have been on the terrace with my binocular
scanning the dale nothing yet, don't know
if the front is coming from the east or West,
take my jumpers off arms are thin and pale,
ought to eat some more spinach do press ups
wear a T. shirt and look heroic while waiting
for the cold front
